Slurry temperature is an under-managed variable that quietly shapes molded pulp quality — it changes drainage rate, fiber bonding, and the drying load that follows. Holding the furnish within a controlled temperature band stabilizes forming consistency and shortens drying, improving part quality while cutting the energy bill.

Slurry temperature affects three things:

The Solution: Three temperature-control solutions
Three controls stabilize slurry temperature:
1. Furnish pre-heating Pre-heating the furnish to a controlled setpoint evens drainage and fiber bonding.
2. Closed-loop temperature control Sensors and a heater loop hold the furnish in a tight temperature band.
3. Reduced drying load Warmer furnish enters drying with less water to remove, cutting energy and cycle time.
