Our Certifications

Every certification below is third-party verified. Certificate numbers, issuing bodies, and validity periods are available on request β€” no vague claims, no broken links.

Certification Standard Scope Market
EN 13432 Industrial Compostability Requirements for packaging recoverable through composting and biodegradation πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί EU
ASTM D6400 Industrial Compostability Specification for labeling of plastics designed to be aerobically composted in municipal or industrial facilities πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ US
EN 13430 Material Recyclability Requirements for packaging recoverable by material recycling πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί EU

Dual-Certified Why EN 13432 + ASTM D6400?

If your supply chain spans both the EU and North America, you need certifications recognized in both markets. EN 13432 is the EU's industrial composting standard β€” accepted by all 27 member states. ASTM D6400 is the US equivalent, aligned with BPI (Biodegradable Products Institute) certification requirements.

Yisen Pulp is one of the few molded fiber manufacturers in Asia with both certifications current and verifiable. Our July 2026 competitor audit found that most international molded fiber brands either don't publish certification details or have broken certification pages.

PPWR 2026: How We Comply

Article 5 β€” Substances of Concern

Yisen Pulp molded fiber is manufactured from pure bagasse and bamboo cellulose with water-based forming. No PFAS. No phthalates. No bisphenols. No synthetic binders. The material itself is the compliance strategy β€” pure plant fiber without chemical additives.

Article 6 β€” Recyclability (Grade A/B)

Uncoated molded fiber packaging separates cleanly in standard paper/cardboard recycling streams. Water-based barrier coatings maintain recyclability without compromising performance. EN 13430 assessment completed, data available on request.

Article 7 β€” Recycled & Renewable Content

Bagasse (sugarcane residue) and bamboo are rapidly renewable, post-industrial materials. For applications requiring post-consumer recycled content, we offer verified rPulp blends with transparent percentage breakdowns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Yisen Pulp PPWR compliant?

Yes. Our molded fiber packaging meets PPWR Article 5 (substances), Article 6 (recyclability Grade A/B), and Article 7 (renewable content). EN 13432 and ASTM D6400 certified. Full documentation on request.

What's the difference between EN 13432 and ASTM D6400?

Both certify industrial compostability, but EN 13432 is the EU standard (required for "compostable" claims in Europe) while ASTM D6400 is the US standard (aligned with BPI certification). Yisen Pulp holds both β€” essential for transatlantic supply chains.

Can I get a sample with certification documentation?
