Heavy-duty molded pulp is classified by density: Standard density (0.35-0.55 g/cm3) - suitable for lightweight consumer goods and secondary packaging. Medium density (0.55-0.80 g/cm3) - appropriate for electronics, small appliances, and general industrial parts. High density (0.80-1.10 g/cm3) - engineered for automotive components, heavy machinery parts, and load-bearing applications. Ultra-high density (1.10-1.35 g/cm3) - achieved with additional compression and binder additives, comparable to medium-density fiberboard (MDF) in structural performance.
